Mortice Dead Locks
A dead lock is usually used as an additional key operated security lock at the top or bottom of a door. It can also be uses as a simple door lock, either with our without a spring latch.
It is operated with a key cylinder or lever lock mechanism. Bathroom dead locks use a Bathroom Turn and Release.
(A dead lock combined with a spring latch is known as a Sash Lock.)
